wilds of the deep heart presents:
HERE BE DRAGONS
sunday, july 14 – 11am-2pm EST – on zoom – $20 exchange

because of recent events in my life, i’ve been called into the inquiry of What Is and What Can Be– Dragon Space?
i wrangled with it in my latest substack posts— “spaces where honesty can Be Held Safely regardless of whether it is wholly positive or filled with trouble.”
i have been struck to the bones by the Otherness of the dragon– and i am by no means coming to you as a ‘dragon expert.’ i am curious– curious about this energy, curious about the dire Need for spaces like this. carried by the creature that, for centuries throughout time in guise after guise– is synonymous with heroically being fought and slain.
what does it mean when you suddenly find yourself in contact with, or even carrying, dragon-energy– those things we’d rather leave at the edges of our maps (‘hic sunt dracones’), where all the monsters are–?
join storyteller and psychopomp audrey di mola for a mythic exploration featuring story, discussion, and imaginal experiencing. some current weavings into this dragon-nest are: the slaying of the primordial goddess tiamat by the mesopotamian hero marduk; the tale of prince lindwurm, the exiled wild twin; and reflections on the dismemberment of the ecological self by the stigmatization prevalent in the overculture/modernity.

ABOUT AUDREY
NYC-born storyteller and creative facilitator Audrey di Mola practices what she likes to call “wild body dreaming,” a highly immersive and embodied form of oral tradition storytelling rooted in primordial earth-connection and seeing with the eye of the heart. She lets the stories lead– sensing into what story or stories want to be told to the group, and afterwards as a community we “feed the story” to offer back nourishment to the tale in the form of personal reflections, memories activated, resonating images, and especially sensations we experienced in our bodies as we journeyed through the landscapes of the story. Audrey is assistant to the first Steward of the Mythsinger Legacy Project, carrying on the work of her late great storytelling teacher Daniel Deardorff; was the resident storyteller for Dr. Sharon Blackie’s Mythic Imagination Network from 2022-2023; has deeply enjoyed immersive courses with Dr. Martin Shaw, Francis Weller, and Perdita Finn, among many others; and offers adventurous, care-oriented online/in-person gatherings, 1-on-1 journeys, and unique mythic-inspired support. Underworld-grown, Audrey is grounded in the learnings of her descents and dedicated to carrying the revivifying waters of re-story-ation into our modern society. Find her online at audreydimola.com, on Substack, and IG @wildbodydreaming.
